Noodle (an acrostic poem)

Image: i.redd.it/8b3geqiv22m21.jpg

Needing to think, he began to walk

Oblivious to his surroundings, focused on the problem at hand

Only issue was that the lack of focus on location added to the conundrum

Deliberating and musing everything over and over again

Left him standing on the train tracks not noticing the train when he finally solved it

Even as the light faded from his eyes, he smiled knowing how many lashes it would take with a wet…

Paint (an acrostic poem)

Putting color onto the canvas brought a smile to his face and chase away his frustrations

As the white disappeared behind his assured strokes, his happiness grew

It was cathartic to brush in his happy little trees standing tall

Nothing could ruin his mood now

This is where all his mistakes were opportunities

Erode (an acrostic poem)

Image: trapbag.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Eroded-cliff-1024×662.jpg

Eveline felt the ground beneath her feet crumble

Removing what firm standing she had in this reality

Other worlds flashed before her falling eyes

Diminishing into dots as she sped by, but she thought she still heard her friends somehow

Everyone was concerned when Eveline went catatonic again.  It was so tragic.

Watch (an acrostic poem)

Image: cdn.pixabay.com/photo/2015/08/07/17/43/church-879605_1280.jpg

When the hands swept past noon

All eyes were drawn to the two men standing in the street

Today only one of them would walk away

Capping a monumental story of conflict between two protagonists

High above, the bells chimed out, punctuated by two percussive blasts, and then dead silence

Suit (an acrostic poem)

Standing in front of the mirror, he feels vulnerable

Until he starts the process of putting on his armor

It’s part the ritual and part the layers of protection.

That makes him feel invulnerable, especially with the addition of the power tie.

Slippery (an acrostic poem)

Image: einstein-online.info/wp-content/uploads/ART_Seifenblasen_%C2%A9_daniele-levis-pelusi-unsplash_Redesign_Daniela_Leitner_Einstein-Online.jpg

Soapy bubbles covering his body he dropped his soap by his feet

Leaning down to retrieve it, he took a small step.

It left him unbalanced, he reached out to stop the fall, but down he went

Pulling the shower curtain down with him

Putting him on the floor, underneath the curtain, with the shower still on

Everyone rushed to the bathroom and saw him there sprawled on the floor

Reaching for the toilet, he levered himself into a sitting position

Yielding him a standing ovation from his roommates and a ten from the Russian judge

Slow (an acrostic poem)

So many people just passed her by

Like she was mentally standing still

Outside their assumptions were correct

When you stopped and listened, you realized she was lightyears ahead.

Concert (an acrostic poem)

Conducting the music of her life

Olivia is quite the maestro

Never missing an up beat

Crescendoing past anything life threw at her

Everything is so legato under her masterful baton

Retarding to a stately pace when it was time to rest

The angels give her a standing ovation in her dreams

Deal (an acrostic poem)

Don’t you understand how good of a price this is?

Even shipping and handling is free, so how can you pass on this?

And if you want two, well we’ll throw that second one in on us.

Let your fingers do the walking and call us now.  Operators are standing by.
