Smell (an acrostic poem)

Stench of burnt sugar permeated the kitchen,

Making the smoke detector chime in with its opinion on the situation.

Everyone came running in to see what happened.

Lee just shrugged and put the butter away in the fridge.

Looks like they would have to settle for plain ice cream, and that just stinks!

Scents (an acrostic poem)

Something really smelled bad

Christine plugged her nose and entered her daughter Fiona’s room

Every piece of clothing had somehow escaped her closet and found its way to the floor

Not going to find the source of the stink in that mess she just closed the door

That’s why, when Fiona was told she had to clean before doing anything else…

She said, “That stinks!”  No truer words were spoken.
