Zigzag (an acrostic poem)

Zebras scattered among the savanna grass

It made for a dizzying pattern for the approaching lioness

Giving her pause as to which way to attack

Zooming through the waving foliage, she struck out

And only managed to slap at a tail as what it was attached to scrambled away

Giving chase, her pride managed to finally take one down as the rest of the dazzle escaped

Cracked (an acrostic poem)

Cool façade in place, she entered the bar

Raucous music assaulted her ears, but her eyes never waivered

Ahead was the bar, and he was at the end of it

Cozying up behind him, she inhaled his musk one last time before she struck

Killing him might have been extreme, but he deserved it

Everyone screamed, but they were drowned out by the music

Downing her pill, she joined him for eternity

Frost (an acrostic poem)

Forging on down the path less traveled

Rarely has such a line struck home as tonight

Outside the sleet and freezing rain coats everything

So driving right now is crazy difficult

That the plow is on the more traveled path makes me regret my decision

Mind (an acrostic poem)

Making most of intellectual opportunities

It only made sense to continue for her second PhD

Nancy smiled as she graduated again then struck a pose

Don’t mess with a double hooded smartass
