Finding your people is an important task

Resulting in stability in an otherwise unstable world

It was time-consuming, nerve-racking, and sometimes difficult

Even when you stumble upon the perfect candidates, the work has just begun

Now you have to make time and not let life and family and work and, and, and,

Distract you from keeping those connections from atrophying

So how are you doing today, my …

There was just a little more to do, he was sure of that

It shouldn’t take long, but that was the same thing he said three hours ago

Now he was still in his chair staring at the computer monitor, wondering how to kill all the bugs

You would think it was a gargantuan task, but he liked his job and to him it was…

She scooped out the contents of her soon-to-be jack-o-lantern

Copious amounts of sticky wet goop went plop as it was deposited into the garbage

Releasing a scent that wasn’t as fowl as she had anticipated as the knife cleaned the sides

After a bit more grunt work, the task was finished

Putting her candle inside, the glow from the eyes and mouth gave the room a ghoulish glow

Emmet said he never used his head, so she was happy to use it for him

Quest (an acrostic poem)

Quitting the task had never crossed his mind

Unless you counted when he woke up, most of the time during the day, and just before sleeping

Every moment he thought about stopping he somehow found the will to finish it

So when that music in his head announced he was finally done, he let out a sigh of relief

That was short-lived since he realized all he had been doing was just a side…

Tool (an acrostic poem)

The hammer felt so good in his calloused hand

Only that didn’t seem enough for this task

Opening up the metal box he reached in and pulled out a larger hammer

Looking at his source of frustration he grinned and went to work “fixing it”

Train (an acrostic poem)

Taking time to learn a new task

Repeating it over and over

As it becomes a part of one’s being

It meant that if you get on track

Nothing will stop your locomotion

Decisions (an acrostic poem) part 9

Deciding to take on his grisly task

Everything began to fall into place

Considering how easy it was to plan to kill someone

If there was ever a catch, it was how to dispose of the body

Someone was almost always going to find it

It was important to make that task difficult though

Only Mike didn’t want to make it too difficult

No need for his blackmailer to get nervous and go public

Sighing, Mike got into his car to head out3
