Putting the food for today on her credit card
Or she would have, but it was denied like usual
Of course, that meant she was going to go hungry again
Really if it happened too much longer and she would get a meal at the emergency room
Putting the food for today on her credit card
Or she would have, but it was denied like usual
Of course, that meant she was going to go hungry again
Really if it happened too much longer and she would get a meal at the emergency room
When the hands swept past noon
All eyes were drawn to the two men standing in the street
Today only one of them would walk away
Capping a monumental story of conflict between two protagonists
High above, the bells chimed out, punctuated by two percussive blasts, and then dead silence
So far much can you handle today?
Perhaps it is one or two more than yesterday
Or maybe it is a half dozen less
Or maybe you threw them all in the wash and need to sit out a bit
Nobody can tell you how many you have at your disposal
So do what you can and know that it’s okay
Noting all the brand new stories from today that were arrayed in front of him, he liked the buffet of content
Except there just wasn’t anything spicy enough to be worth the headline.
What he needed was sizzle, but all he had in front of him was steak.
So he carved everything up to bite sized pieces so at least they had to come back for more.
On top of all things, Macy waited
Verifying that everyone in her domain was doing what she desired
Everyone today seemed to be listening to her wishes
Reaching our with one paw, she batted at the dust to demonstrate her approval
Give yourself a little space today
Realize that you are not perfect
And that no one in their right mind should expect that from you
Care for yourself and give yourself a huge mental hug
Everything might not be okay, but you can still grant yourself a little…
It covers everything with a quarter-inch plate
Can’t walk on it safely to get to my car
Everyone is staying put today
