Drastic (an acrostic poem)

Dominic looked out over the battlefield

Rational people didn’t go to battle willingly

Armies ran on true belief

Simply put that training and divine luck would get you through alive

That was proven wrong day after day

It still amazed Dominic that people volunteered to do this and had faith in him

Could be the canons he had aimed at the back of his troops also helped

Failure (an acrostic poem)

Focused on the goal of winning it all

Alison forgot about her competition

It was near the end of the race and she was by herself

Letting her guard down she started to think about the finish line

Usually she didn’t have this luxury, but all that hard training was paying off

Ready to celebrate she slowed down and lifted her arms victoriously

Everyone gasped as Stacy burst past, leaving Alison stunned and in second

Buzz Kill (a 100 word post)

Harry was half listening to his mandatory job training.  His current one was on working in a drug and alcohol free workplace.  Harry thought this was a total waste of time, then he realized he could use it as a writing prompt.  Harry began brainstorming what he could write about.  Should he try to write about an angel who was addicted to devil’s food cake?  How about a demon who was addicted to Mexican soap operas?  As the training droned on and on Harry knew one thing, he wasn’t going to even think about addiction.  The training killed his buzz.
