Watching the sun make its escape as it sinks beneath the horizon
Everything becomes more magical in that twilight moment
Snippets and whispers of other realms peek from beyond the veil
That opportunity sets as darkness brings down the curtain
Watching the sun make its escape as it sinks beneath the horizon
Everything becomes more magical in that twilight moment
Snippets and whispers of other realms peek from beyond the veil
That opportunity sets as darkness brings down the curtain
Wanting to feel the heat of her breath
As she whispers in my ear
Raising goosebumps on my arms… You know what?
Maybe I’ll finish this poem later
Don’t you want another hit, man?
Everything would feel so much better
Make all those whispers you hear go away
Or at least make them fade for a while
Now isn’t that worth it?

Waiting to hear your voice again
How is it I can’t remember it
I thought I would never be able to forget
Still I saved your last voicemail
Purposely so I would have at least one part of you with me
Even if it only said something about getting milk, you did say you loved me
Right now I would give anything to hear that again
Should have backed up my phone
