Frown (an acrostic poem)

Finding upside down smiles scattered among the audience

Richard tried to make a quick joke to lighten the mood

Only it didn’t work, and more people joined the unhappy camp

When he decided one more time, they started to angrily yell at him

Nobody warned him that practicing his startup at a funeral was going to be such a bad idea

Beep (an acrostic poem)

Being in IT when every computer on campus was making noises

Especially as they rebooted over and over again was not going to be good

Ernie knew he was doomed for a long long long day

Perhaps this was not the week to give up swearing, but he wanted to yell something.  “Oh …”

Yell (an acrostic poem)

You shout into the wind until you have to steal some or pass out

Every part of your being is still so upset.  You bow your head down

Lamenting how life can be so unfair, it almost crushes your spirit

Lifting back up your head you begin to scream once more
