Mars (an acrostic poem)

Maybe there’s life, maybe there’s not.

A question scientists, philosophers, and poets have spent lifetimes trying to answer

Realizing we are not alone in this universe would change humanity forever.

So would cleaning up the mess we made on this planet, but that’s not as sexy.

Analyse (an acrostic poem)

And when he looked deeper into the data, patterns emerged.

Nothing seemed to make sense, but there was order in the chaos.

And he knew he had something there.

Leveraging his AI bots didn’t seem to help, but they did eliminate some false paths.

Yeah, now he was getting closer to solving this puzzle.

So when he finally figured it out, he screamed out loud.

Evidently he had programmed a small glitch so the data meant nothing!

Demo (an acrostic conversation)

Don’t you want to test it first?”

Everybody does that.  Where’s the excitement then?”

Maybe in the fact you know the thing works?”

Or maybe we wait till the crowd is here and see if it explodes!”

Smoke (an acrostic poem)

So many wires going here and there

More than what is needed right now, but you want to be ready for the future

Oh I know it can get confusing, but that’s okay

Keep track of everything right up here in my big old brain

Except I forgot and now the smoke alarm is going off. Damn!

*a semi-fictitious tale. There was no smoke in my case. lol

Pain (an acrostic poem)

Putting the code on the robot, he expected it to work

As it was only supposed to blink the LED as a proof of concept

It did that, so now to add the code he really wanted to work

Nope, that part dies.  Nice try.  Now back to the drawing board

Name (an acrostic poem)

Image: gesmer.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/patent.jpeg

Now, what should he call his invention?

And he knew this was almost more important than the invention itself

Making him wonder if maybe he should shelve the whole stinking kit and kaboodle

Except the WhositwhatsitYouSitISittm was so cool otherwise
