Fall (an acrostic poem)

Finding out gravity still works may be something cats excel at

And that can be bad enough, but when you are the subject of such an experiment

Learning once again that the ground is much harder and farther away the older you get, not good times

Look physics is really cool, until like, it isn’t.

Expiry (an acrostic poem)

Everything has a time and a place.

X in certain spots, O in others.

Putting them together correctly is a path to victory.

If done poorly, the dreaded line of defeat would be drawn.

Reaching for his pencil we finally wrote an X on the upper left corner.

Yet he waited too long and his 3-year-old gave up and looked for someone else to play with.

Check (an acrostic conversation)

Can you please look into my problem?”

How much is it worth to you?”

Everything is about money, isn’t it.”

Can’t eat promises and hugs.”

Know what?  Think of it as your payment as lost in the mail.”

Real (an acrostic poem)

Reaching for her cheek, he cupped it in his palm.

Everything in his life had led to this moment.

And here he was, with the girl of his dreams.

Looking into his newborn daughter’s eyes, he said, “I love you.”

Noodles (an acrostic poem)

Nothing like slurping down long lines of flavor.

Or when they are all done, sipping the tasty broth that was left behind.

Oh, how his tummy felt nice and full when he was done.

Didn’t care if the base was chicken or beef or vegetable or fish.

Look, as long as those tender, slightly chewy, lengths of pasta were drenched in it, he was happy.

Especially with a bit of a spicy kick to make sure his tastebuds would wake up.

So when he was asked what he wanted for lunch, his obvious reply was…

Host (an acrostic poem)

He was always so needy, sucking her dry physically and emotionally.

Oh, and the fact he was the center of attention, no matter what she did.

She hated it especially when he kicked her just as she fell asleep.

The tiny jerk better be nicer to her once he was born!

Fame (an acrostic poem)

Finding yourself on every magazine cover is novel at first.

And gets tedious pretty quickly after that.

Maybe the notoriety wasn’t worth it in the long run?

Except all that money in the bank told to her otherwise.

Warped (an acrostic poem)

Windowpanes filled with what looked like melted glass in the thick old stone wall of the farmhouse.

And it distorted her view of the outside, making her feel out of phase with the world around her.

Reaching out she traced the altered horizon and wondered what if the window was showing true.

Perhaps it was her eyes that told lies when she was outside?

Everyone would think her crazy for thinking such a thing.

Did that mean they were right?  She just didn’t know.

Content (an acrostic poem)

Contemplating what to put in her next video.

One idea was to show her technical skills and build a waterjet.

Now that would be cool, and she could use it for other projects.

Though it would also be expensive, and she didn’t have a sponsor.

Eyeing choice two, she wondered if making a box kite out of thrift store clothing would get enough views.

Neither idea was bad, but which should she do?

That’s when she decided to come up with the craziest way to choose and do a video on that!
