Claustrophobic tall walls keep closing in the farther he fled

As he rounded a corner, he came to a sheer cliff face announcing it was the end of the road

Now all he could do was turn around and confront his greatest fear

Years had passed since the last time he had faced the gunslinger

On that occasion. he had escaped with only losing his dignity

Now it was time to pay for all those years of running…  A single shot echoed.

Coming up to the edge and looking down

Leaves her feeling butterflies in the stomach and light headed

It makes her feel like she could fly if she just had faith and took that last step.

Focusing on that feeling, she makes her decision and closes her eyes, allowing herself to drop

Falling backward, she lands on a pillow of grass, happy with her choice

Cliff (an acrostic poem)

Conundrum of faith

Looking over the edge and seeing only the unknown

It makes one pause wondering if you should take that next step

Following your heart, believing that you can fly or…

Fearing the fall and fitfully fleeing…

Making it a contest of wills, hers against her body’s

Betting on herself she lunged for the next handhold

Sling (an acrostic poem)

So it was a David versus Goliath affair

Liam felt his hopes dangling on the edge of a cliff

If he ever lost faith that he had a chance

Nobody would fault him, but

Giving his shoulders a heave he walked over and asked her out

Cliff (an acrostic poem)

Careening down the road without a care

Love was lost, and Bonnie was determined to find it

If it meant driving from sea to shining sea, she would do it

Finding love wouldn’t be an easy thing she knew

For it had listened to her when she told it to jump off a ….

100 Word Post # 7 Cliff Hanger

Only Brandon kept Katheryn from falling from the cliff.  She clung to his hand with both of hers, thinking the bond between them unbreakable.  This lie was slowly fading as the life blood keeping that grip alive ebbed out the open wound of Brandon’s heart.

“I said I was sorry,” Katheryn said for like the twentieth time while hanging there.  “Don’t let me go.”

“You and Corey stab me in the heart, and you expect me to stay?” Brandon asked.

With that he let go and walked away as Katheryn fell off her emotional cliff and crashed into pain below.
